Animation logo

The logo for the animation. Based off of animation titles from the 50's.

The original sketches for the logo design were done by Phil, I took it into illustrator but I found it too clean looking for the era it was based on, so I made a new one similar to Phil's in Photoshop.

Scene 3 Animation

The original storyboard has the mouse successfully take the candy from the skull, then run away when it hears the robot. We ended up changing this to the mouse dropping the candy because the rig didn't have a version with the candy parented to the mouse which would break the continuity.

After my first animation run through when the mouse drops the candy and climbs the skull, i found it difficult to make the mouse climb due to the rig. Ben suggested I have the skulls jaw fall open when the mouse climbs up.

I'm not entirely happy with my final animation. There is clipping in the hands moving on the skull, the pacing of the jaw opening vs the candy being dropped feels off and the animation feels like it lacks weight at some points. given more time I would have fixed these issue but with my scene being changed twice during the animation process I ended up having only around week to work on the submitted scene

Henri's animation: Scene 5 Rework

There was definitely some things I wanted to change a few things such as the sliding when he is backing up and when he was running he barely moved his hips and it didn't look correct for his torso to be so stationary.

My fix to these was to keep the idea and feeling but redo the jumps and poses so that he doesn't slide when he shouldn't.

Henri's Animation: Scene 4

Henri's Animation: Scene 1

I started my idea by just sliding my model in the position that I thought best matched our storyboard.

After which I created a stepped animation on different parts of the animation slowly refining them by Making the the timing more realistic and adding in transitional poses of him going  from ground to air and his landing poses. My area of focus was more to the later sections of the animation when It started to look good was around the time that our group rejigged our responsibilities and I had to look over and finish Scene 1 Scene 4 and polish the scene 5 I got from Phil, So my priority was to finish scene 1 and do the rest of them however I think I ended up rushing things a little.
